COLLIN COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS
At one time, Collin County had over 150 school districts, about one every mile and a half. Some closed. Others were consolidated into the dozen or so that exist today. Most of the districts were independent school districts. At one time there was a County Superintendent. Early in the county's history there were a number of private schools.
The School Districts had numbers. The numbers do not signify the order in which they were created.
