Services for Cora C. Maloney, 82 of Plano, who died Saturday at HCA medical Center in Plano, were held this morning at 10:30 a.m. at Turrentine0Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Cecil Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Ridgeview Memorial Park under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Maloney was born Sept. 3, 1912 in Abilene, to Jessie Collins and Mable Clear Cook. She married Reuben Maloney in Oklahoma in 1932. She was a homemaker and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church at Farmersville.
Mrs. Maloney is survived by four daughters, Wanda Fae Walden of Parthenon, Ark.; Mary Lou Bertke of Plano, Geraldene Holland of Alice and Carol Jean Mills of Garland; three sons, Jesse Lee Maloney of Kaufman, Paul Kenneth Maloney of Winningkoff and Joe Lynn Maloney of Denton; sister, Murel Ginn of Georgewest, 15 grandchildren, 24 great - grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Maloney was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; three children, Mae Ann Newby, Emmalene Malone, and Reuben Burton Malone; a brother, Jesse Collins Cook and two sisters, Cordie Lee Wilson and Jewel Hyden.
Memorial can be made in Mrs. Maloney's name to the Denton State School in Denton.
