Funeral services for Mattie Lee Hammond, 58, of McKinney who died Monday at her residence will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Melissa with Rev. Kenneth Kelly officiating. Interment will be in the Melissa Cemetery with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in charge of the services.
Hammond was born April 29, 1928 in Collin County, the daughter of Dewitt Clinton Browning and Lillian May Erwin Browning.
She was a laboratory engineer technician and a member of the First Baptist Church of Melissa.
Survivors include her husband, Hansel R. Hammond of McKinney; five daughters: Mitzi Brewer and Vicki January both of McKinney; Janice Allen of Garland, Joan E. Miller of Princeton, Kisti Brown of Melissa; two sisters: Elaine Dillon of Dallas, Thelma Alexander of Princeton; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
