MRS. BERTHA BELT PASSES AWAY EARLY THURSDAY

Mrs. Bertha Viola , 69, died at 5:45 a.m. at 506 Erwin Street.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday in Turrentine-Jackson chapel, conducted by Rev. Joe Bob Alexander and Rev. S. D. Lindsey with burial in Ridgeview Memorial Park.
She was born April 1, 1899 in Mineola, the daughter of Sydney J. Hurst and Jessie L. McWhorter Hurst. She was of Baptist faith and past Noble Grand of the Rebekah lodge.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Wilma Kimbell and Mrs. Naomi Conditt of Melissa; Mrs. Aline Watson, Dallas; Mrs. Bonnie Groves, McKinney; Mrs. Tessie Slate, Bonham and Ms. Betty Robinson of Great Lakes, Ill.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
