HELPED SECURE GOOD SPEAKERS FOR THE PICNIC
These Editors are in receipt of an interesting letter from Hon. Byron England, Representative from Collin County, dated at Austin July 26.
Mr. England, a member of the Speakers’ Committee at the picnic-reunion, being in Austin, has been in contact with many prominent state officials there and has secured several of them to appear at the picnic-reunion in this city.
Mr. England also tells us he has been advised that delegations from Greenville, Sherman and other North Texas cities will be in McKinney Thursday night to hear Hon. Robert W. Calvert, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Hon. G. C. Morris, Representative from Greenville, will accompany Mr. Calvert to McKinney from Hillsboro.
Mr. England’s many friends will regret to learn that he had been ill and bedfast for a week making it impossible for him to attend the reunion this year....
