MRS. SAM BROOKS, 83, DIES IN HOSPITAL

McKinney – Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in King Memorial Baptist Church here for Mrs. Sallie Brooks, 83, of McKinney, who died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Collin Memorial Hospital.
Rev. Ray Williams, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Allen Cemetery, directed by Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brooks was born Nov. 12, 1882 in Collin County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Williams. She was the widow of John Brooks. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Mannie Hardaway of Crystal City and Mrs. Zack West of Chattanooga, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews.
