MRS. J. W. M’KINNEY PASSES AWAY EARLY THURSDAY

Aline Strother McKinney, wife of J. W. McKinney Jr., of 206 North College street, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Pearl Strother, at 4:30 a.m. today (Thursday) July 31st. Mrs. McKinney was born at Anna, this county, but had resided in McKinney since she was a small child.
She was a graduate of the McKinney High School and of North Texas State Teachers College in Denton, and for a number of years had been a teacher in the grade schools here. Mrs. McKinney was a member of the First Baptist church, being active in Sunday School work and social circles of the city. She was admired for her lovely character and gracious manners by young and old and her passing is felt by a multitude of friends and relatives throughout the city and county.
She was married to J. W. McKinney, Jr., August 14, 1924. The funeral services will be held at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon at the First Baptist church conducted by the pastor, Dr. D. D. Seger, assisted by Rev. S. D. Lindsey. Interment will be made in Pecan Grove cemetery under the direction of the Crouch-Moore Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be C. T. Eddins, Jack Ryan, A. V. Leeper of Dallas, Emil B. Martin, Marvin I. Davison of Dallas, Robell Cox of Dallas and Guy Stinnett Jr. of Anna.
Surviving Mrs. McKinney are her husband, J. W. McKinney Jr., her mother Mrs. Pearl Strother, two sisters: Mrs. Joe H. Wilson of this city and Mrs. Chas. H. Akin of Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her father, the late George E. Strother, and a sister, Mrs. Guy Chapman.
