KILLED BY TARGET RIFLE
Willie, little son of Mr. and Mrs. Green Dolan of Blue Ridge, was killed Sunday by the discharge of a target rifle in the hands of George McCoy. Mr. Dolan and family were spending the day with Doyle McCoy and family. The two boys were upstairs playing when they found the rifle, which had been thrown away for some time.
The McCoy boy, aged 7, had the gun, which happened to have a cartridge in the barrel. In some way the gun was fired, the ball striking the Dolan boy in the forehead and lodging just under the skin at the back of the head.
Willie never regained consciousness. He died at 8 o’clock Sunday night. Drs. Morrow and Houser were summoned and remained at his bedside until his death.
He was buried at Blue Ridge Monday. These papers join the Many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Dolan in sympathy for them in the tragedy which has darkened their home
