Funeral services for Ola Mae Bryant, 80, of Nevada, who died Friday at North Texas Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with the Rev. Billy Harris and Brother Wendell Lillard officiating. Burial will be at Wilson Chapel Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 8, 1909 in Collin County, the daughter of John Emory Smith and Lovellar Welborn Smith. She married Commodore Newton Bryant in 1926 in Princeton.
She was a housewife and a member of the Family Worship Center Full Gospel Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are five sons, C. M. Bryant Jr. of Wylie, James Bryant of Sachse and Thurman Bryant, Charles Bryant and Larry Bryant, all of McKinney; one daughter, Louise Akin of Nevada; two brothers, Jim Smith of Princeton and Willard Smith of Wills Point; two sisters Gladys Recer and Ethel Rogers, both of Culleoka; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband in March, 1973, her daughter, Margaret Wyatt in October 1969, and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family was scheduled to be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
