DR. KING CONDUCTED LAST RITES AT GRAVE. SURVIVING RELATIVES.
Dr. E. E. King conducted the funeral services for Mrs. J. M. Herron at the Mt. Olive Baptist church west of town. The deceased was for a long while a resident of the Whites Grove community and an active member of the Baptist church there, but for the past two years had lived at Lewisville, Denton county. She was visiting at the home of her brother, W. P. Lewis near the Hedgecoxe school house when she died. She was 49 years old and passed away after a lingering illness of consumption Sunday afternoon March 22.
She is survived by a heart-broken husband, 5 children–2 sons about grown and 3 smaller daughters. Also an aged father living in the Territory, 3 brothers, two of whom live in the Territory and W. P Lewis at whose home she died. Two sisters, Mrs. Huguley Jones and Macy also survive and live near town. The sorrowing husband is very grateful to the community for its kindness extended the family during his wife’s sickness and death. The Courier joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved.
