MRS. SARAH HARRIS OF ROCK HILL DIES AT CITY HOSPITAL

Mrs. Sarah Harris, 48 years, 7 months and 15 days old, wife of D. M. Harris, died Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the McKinney City Hospital following an operation performed there Tuesday.
The deceased was a daughter of W. A. Ballard and wife and was born in Fayette county, Alabama. She and her husband had resided in Collin county for a number of years. They formerly lived on the farm of H. A. Finch in the Woodlawn community. About one year ago they moved on the farm of S. O. Scott near Rock Hill where they had since resided.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband and four children, one child passing away in infancy. The surviving children are: Mrs. H. W. Feagin of Greenwood, Wise county, Texas; Misses Estelle and Elsie Harris and J. D. Harris, who reside at home.
The body is being held in the S. J. Massie & Sons funeral home in this city until 3 o’clock this (Thursday) afternoon when the funeral cortage will leave for the Bethel cemetery, four miles north of Frisco where interment will take place at 4 p.m. today.
The deceased was a member of the Methodist church.

ROCK HILL WOMAN LAID TO REST AT BETHEL THURSDAY
Mrs. Sarah Harris Died at City Hospital.
Impressive funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Harris, 48 years, 7 months and 15 days old, who died in the McKinney City Hospital, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock following an operation performed Tuesday, were held at 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the Bethel cemetery four miles north of Frisco,....[conducted by] pastor of the Methodist Church at Frisco, of which church she was a faithful and life long member.
The body was held in the S. J. Massie & Sons Undertaking parlors in this city until 3 p.m. Thursday when the funeral cortage left for the Bethel cemetery., The deceased was born in Fayette County, Alabama, but had resided in this county for many years. The family lived for awhile in the Woodlawn community. At the time of her death they made their home in the Rock Hill community, west of McKinney.
The deceased was preceded to the grave by one child,. She is survived by her husband and four children: Mrs. H. W. Feagin of Greenwood; Misses Estelle and Elsie Harris and J. D. Harris, at home.
Two brothers and four sisters also survive: L. J. Ballard of Frisco, W. Ballard of McKinney, Mrs. J. E. Ramsey of Frisco, Mrs. M. A. Foster of Frisco, Mrs. Mary Self of Childress and Mrs. J. D. Robinson of Anna. All the children and brothers and sisters of the deceased were present at the funeral except Mrs. Self, who resides in Childress.
