THE FAMILY OF GOV. DAVID HALL OF OKLAHOMA

The first of this Hall family arrived in Copeville in 1880. The Rev. G. M. Hall was born in Maury County, Tennessee, April 29, 1846 and died at Copeville March 30, 1931. He married to Nancy Bishop at Enterprise, Tennessee February1, 1870 by the Rev. J. W. Howard. After settling in Copeville community, the family farmed and the father, a Presbyterian minister, rode the circuit of the community churches in a radius of 15 miles from Copeville.
Ten children were born to this union:
Mary E. Hall (1870), W. A. Hall (January 18, 1872), J. W. Hall (September 6, 1873), Susie M. Hall (November 29, 1875), N. L. Hall (March 7, 1877), M. D. Hall (December 28, 1879), G. M. Hall Jr. (December 31, 1882), A. F. Hall (January 5, 1886), J. M. Hall (March 1, 1887), B. B. Hall (May 1, 1890). All of these children are now deceased.
David Hall, now serving as Governor of Oklahoma is a great grandson of George M. Hall Sr., the grandson of William A. Hall and the son of William A. Hall Jr.
