Funeral services for Alta Mae Branch, 73, of Blue Ridge, who died Sunday at North Texas Medical Center, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge with the Revs. Peck Williams and Barry Beams officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery with Fielder - Baker Funeral Home of Blue Ridge in charge of the services.
Branch was born June 26, 1913 in Valdasta, the daughter of William M. and Dora Alice Burgess, and married Delma Lee Branch, Jan. 12, 1933 in Blue Ridge.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge.
Survivors include her husband, Delma Branch of Blue Ridge; three sons: Ronald Branch of Blue Ridge, Dayton Branch of Plano, Bobby Branch of Allen; daughter, Sandra Higdon of McKinney; brother Homer Burgess of Dolan Springs, Arizona; sister, Peggy Trimborne of Portland, Oregon; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 tonight.
