FORMER McKINNEY POSTMASTER DIES
McKinney – Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church here for Don O. Davis, 73, father of Collin County Judge Don Weaver Davis. Mr. Davis died at 11 p.m. Sunday in a McKinney hospital. He was a life-long resident of Collin county.
Dr. E. E. Russell, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Earl J. Rogers, minister of the Full Gospel Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Pecan Grove Cemetery, directed by Harris-Horn Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis was born in Collin County, the son of County Judge and Mrs H. L. Davis. He had been McKinney postmaster and a county commissioner. On April 27, 1915, he married Gladys Weaver. He was a member of the First Christian Church, which he served as a deacon. He was a Mason and a graduate of Texas __ College.
