Newspaper.
Enjoys Renewing Old Acquaintances In This Part Of Texas.
J. A. (Asbury) Akin of Durant, Oklahoma, has been visiting relatives in McKinney and other points in the county. He left Collin County about nineteen years ago. Time has apparently dealt with him kindly. He looks hale and hearty. This editor had the pleasure of a visit from him. He was with his two old friends, Buck Isom and Webb Bagwill. They were having a fine time, Saturday, in company with each other. Mr. Akin visited his nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Douglas, in McKinney over Friday night. He also visited his nephew, Prof. John W. Akin, at Wylie, whom he regretted to find in rather poor health. He is also an uncle of former Representative Chas. H. Akin of Princeton.
