R. A. ERECKSON OF ALLEN DIED SUDDENLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Ruel Alfonzo Ereckson, 87, retired Allen resident, died suddenly at his home there Friday at 4:45 p.m. He was born July 31, 1870 in Tennessee, the son of T. J. and Parthena John Ereckson, but spent most of his life in Collin County, He was married to Miss Lena May Bridges, July 30, 1894.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. J. O. (Enid) Thomas of Denison; Mrs. W. A. (Eudein) Crouch of Sherman and Mrs. G. H. (Pauline) Lucas of Texarkana, Texas; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Allen Christian Church of which he was a charter member, conducted by Rev. James Hellen, and Rev. J. Wesley Smith of Marshall, with burial in the Allen Cemetery, directed by Crouch-Moore Funeral Home.
The body will be removed from the funeral home to the church at 1 p.m. Sunday to lie in state for an hour.
Daughters of Mr. Ereckson, will be in McKinney late Saturday afternoon.
