CLYDE GEREN, 43, PASSES AWAY HERE WEDNESDAY

WELL-KNOWN GARAGE MAN HAD BEEN ILL SEVERAL WEEKS
Clyde Geren, 43 years old, a native of Collin county, died at his home, 705 North Bradley street, at 11:35 o’clock Wednesday night, February 8, after an illness of several weeks.
The deceased was taken ill December 25 and had been in declining health since that time. He was born at Nevada and moved with his parents to McKinney when a small boy, having lived in this city since.
The deceased was a well-known McKinney garageman and automobile mechanic, having formerly been connected with the Hamilton (?)-Patterson Motor company, and for two or three years being a member of the firm of Geren & Day.
Surviving are his wife who was before her marriage Miss Maimie Dees and five children, two sons and three daughters. They are Wiley and Joe Ed, Marguerite, Helen and Mamie Ruth Geren. He is also survived by his father, R. E. (Ed) Geren, former district clerk of this county, and by two brothers, Frank Geren of Lavon and Landon Geren of Dallas. His mother passed away several years ago. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the family residence, 705 North Bradley street, at 3:30 o’clock tomorrow (Friday) afternoon by Dr. Clifford S. Weaver, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment will follow in Pecan Grove cemetery under the direction of the Sam J. Massie & Son Funeral home of this city.
Active pallbearers will be: J. Ed Michael, Don O. Davis, Sherwood Day, Ed Blakeman, Frank G. Dowell, Charlie Fitch, Ula Saunders, and Richard Bass.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aubrey Hamilton, George McCally, Charley Cantrell, Leonard Cole, Ernest L. Dowdy, Twain Massie, J. Russell Dowdy, R. A. Joplin, Celia J. Moss, Joe E. Largent, Dr. L. E. Morril, Glenn Massie, Walter B. Wilson, Halsell Davis, C. T. Ford, W. B. Mitchell, Dr. B. F. Largent, Tommie Paysinger, Clifford Thomas, Lee Clark, Glover Farr, Irene Dunn, Tom W. Perkins, J.
