DAN DUNCAN DIED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT FRIDAY IN HOUSTON

Daniel M. Duncan of 530 Roper Street, Houston, was instantly killed in a traffic crash in Houston early Friday, January 1. The body was returned to McKinney, where he formerly lived, for funeral services at 3:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon in Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Ridgeview Memorial Park. Chaplain Jas. S. Parks, of Temple, will officiate.
He was born April 21, 1930 in Hilton, Okla., but spent most of his life in Collin County in Frisco and McKinney. He was a veteran of the Korean war and a member of the Methodist church.
He was married July 19, 1958 to Carolyn Reece of McKinney who survives with four children, Cheri, Alicia, Michael and Greg. His mother, Mrs. Dan Duncan Sr., and a brother, Tommy Duncan, both of Frisco, also survive.
Mr. and Mrs. Duncan are both former employees of KMAE, this city. He had been in government service for the past few years.

FORMER McKINNEY POLICE EMPLOYEE DIES IN WRECK
McKinney — Funeral services for Daniel Martin Duncan, 34, former McKinney man who was killed in a two-car collision in Houston Friday which took the lives of four others persons, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery.
Mr. Duncan was born April 21, 1930, in Hilton, Okla., and had lived in McKinney and Frisco before moving to Houston. While living in McKinney he was employed as dispatcher at the McKinney Police Department and worked for Radio Station KMAE. He was a Korean veteran and a member of the Methodist Church.
He was married to the former Miss Carolyn Reece of McKinney on July 19, 1958.
Survivors include his wife and four children, Cheri, Alicia, Michael and Greg, all of Houston; his mother, Mrs. Daniel Duncan Sr. of Frisco; and a brother, Tommy Duncan of Frisco.
