Funeral services for Myrtle Cowan, 82, of Van Alstyne, who died Wednesday at Plano General Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Weston Baptist Church with Rev. Don Teague and Rev. Jim Pool officiating.
Interment will be at Cottage Hill Cemetery with Horn-Harris, Crouch Funeral Home in charge.
Cowan was born July 9, 1903, in Weston, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George L. Morgan. She married Troy W. Cowan on October 8, 1924, in Weston.
She was a homemaker and a 51-year member of Weston Baptist Church for 51 year.
Survivors include one sister, Lillian Cromer of Sherman, two sons, Kenneth Cowan of Weston, and Bill Cowan of Plano, one daughter, Laverne Gattis of Van Alstyne, six granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
