Memorial services for Arthus Harrod, 58, of McKinney, who died Thursday in the VA Hospital in Bonham were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Horn-Harris-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel.
He was born Oct. 22, 1928 in Naples, Tx and married Lamona Lewis in 1953 in Durant, Okla.
Harrod was a carpenter and a member of the Baptist Church. He was also a veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lamona of McKinney; four sons, Arthur D. Harrod of McKinney, James R. Harrod of Anna, Keith B. Harrod and Rickey G. Harrod, both of McKinney; three daughters, Melba Ybarra of McKinney, Patricia Moore of Dallas and Sherian Harrod of McKinney; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, O. V. Harrod of Brownboro and James Franklin of Athens; three sisters, Haydee Harrod of Athens, Mary Jones of Kemp and Alta Jefferson of Dallas.
