ONE OF THE REAL COLLIN PIONEERS
The above is a picture of G. M. Hendricks, born in South Carolina, in 1838 and who, sixteen years later, (1854) arrived in Texas where he has since resided. At the age of nineteen (1857) he was married to Miss Annie E. Thacker by whom he is the father of fourteen children, ten of whom are still living – seven daughters and three sons, all married and prosperous. “Uncle George” owns 180 acres of land within one mile of store and school house at Donna, on which he lives, fifteen miles northeast from McKinney.
