ROY HAYES RITES HELD SATURDAY
Newspaper, 1967. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at North Baptist Church for Roy P. Hayes, 68, who died Thursday at his home, 707 White street. Rev. Joe Bob Alexander of Mesquite and Rev. G. B. Bradshaw conducted the service. Burial was in the Princeton Cemetery with Harris-Horn Funeral Home directing. He was born June 25, 1899 in Collin County, the son of Press and Lizzie Scott Hayes. He was a member of the North Baptist church. His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alleen Hayes of McKinney; one son, J. C. Hayes of Temple; four grandchildren; one brother, Verbie Hayes of McKinney; two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Calhoun of Tucumcari, N. Mexico and Mrs. Cecil Jeanes of Bay City. |

Newspaper, 1986. Victor Leroy Hayes, 72, of McKinney, who died Saturday, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Illinois. He was born June 1, 1914 in Illinois, the son of Willie Hayes and Chloa Sanders. He married Stella Jean James on July 7, 1957. He was a painter and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Jean Hayes of McKinney; a son, Edward Hayes of Illinois; three daughters, Louise Burdett of McKinney, Diane Bartlet of Dallas and Mary Wheeler of McKinney; two brothers, Martin Hayes and Orval Hayes, both of Illinois; a sister Dorothy Spry of Nevada; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a number of other relatives. |
