COOPER, MILTON
Letter.
My great grandparents – Milton Cooper, b. 1802, and his wife Charlotte (Carter) Cooper, b. 1798, are buried somewhere in Collin co. – I think, possibly in southern part as the Coopers had land along Rowlett Creek & Muddy Creeks. Deeds locate the Cooper boys farms about 7 - 7 ½ miles south and s. east from McKinney. The county clerk looked them up for me.
Milton Cooper d. Dec. 1855 – soon after coming to Texas with his family – Charlotte d. 1871 – was living at or near Plano. Also has a daughter - Mrs. B. F. Gambill (Mary L. Cooper) d. about 1867 buried there, and another daughter’s husband – Capt. John W. Smith who d. 1867, I think. ...
I only know that my father used to visit Gambill’s & Coopers at Plano, Celina, and Collinsville maybe....
