MRS. COFFMAN PASSES AWAY IN HOSPITAL

Mrs. W. H. Coffman, 70, residing at 112 S. Church street, died Monday night in Collin Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was a native of Collin county, born July 26, 1898, the daughter of Dink and Clara Pearce Meador.
For many years Mrs. Coffman and her late husband owned and operated Coffman’s Nursery and Florist in McKinney and she was associated with her sons in conducting the business, in recent years.
Mrs. Coffman was a member of the First Christian Church, Rebekah Lodge No. 85, Woodman Circle and McKinney Garden Club and throughout her lifetime has been active in P-TA, church and civic work. She held three life memberships given by the McKinney Garden Club, City Council P-TA and Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the First Methodist church.
Her survivors are three sons, George, Frank and Billy Coffman all of McKinney; four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. R. L. Martin of Plano. Her husband died several years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning in Turrentine-Jackson Chapel, with Rev. Chief Warden officiating. Burial will be in Pecan Grove Cemetery.
