Born at Athens, Tennessee: attended Grant Memorial University: married to Miss Mattie Hughlett, April. 16, 1899: one child, James.
Mr. Crow came to Plano in 1887. He served several years as postmaster until McKinley’s second administration: in the spring of this year he was again appointed postmaster by President Wilson. Always courteous in his treatment of the patrons of the post office while serving as assistant for several years, the people of Plano were glad to recommend his appointment. He is a member of the Methodist Church and the K. of P. Lodge.

DEATH ENDS LONG SERVICE AS POSTMASTER
James A. Crow of Plano Dies At Age of 74 Years.
Postmaster James A. Crow of Plano, 74 years old, died at 3 o’clock Tuesday morning at the family residence after a brief illness. Mr. Crow had served as assistant and postmaster at Plano for the last thirty-five years, serving three terms as postmaster. he leaves a wife and son, J. A. Crow Jr. Funeral arrangements have not been announced pending the arrival of relatives from Athens, Tenn. and his son, who is said to be working at Shreveport State Fair at Shreveport. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
