Mount Pleasant Hill Baptist Church - Nevada
Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Collin County, three miles north of Millwood, Texas, was constituted June, 1857, by Elders Myers, Butler, Callahan and Watson at the house of Brother Shaw and the following names: S. Shaw, M. Shaw, J. W. Cope, E. Cope, A. R. Revise, B. H. Revise, E. M. Revise and Anna Cope. Elder Callahan was their first pastor.
At one time the church split into two factions - North Church and South Church. This church was South Church. North Church was located closer to Copeville. The church disbanded in 1947.
