JOHN A. LACY, RETIRED MAIL CARRIER, DIES SATURDAY MORNING

John Alexander Lacy, 74, of Melissa, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Saturday in the City-County Hospital. He was a retired mail carrier, and was a native of Collin County, born May 22, 1881.
His survivors include a son, George H. Lacy, of Princeton; a daughter, Mrs. Jewell K. Arnold, of Melissa; two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Wood, of California; Mrs. Mary Stark, of Plainview, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Melissa Baptist Church, with interment in Highland Cemetery, directed by the Crouch-Moore Funeral Home.
He was a member of the Melissa Baptist Church, being chairman of the Board of Deacons. His parents, his wife, two sons, and a daughter, preceded him in death.
The body will be removed from the funeral home to the family residence Saturday evening.
