DEATH CLAIMS A PIONEER WOMAN

Mrs. J. W. Combest [Susan], aged 72 years, died at her home at Valdasta this morning after an illness of three months. Mrs. Combest had not been in the very best of health for the past two years, although she had only been confined to her bed for the past two or three months.
Mrs. Combest was born in Missouri. She moved to Texas with her husband about 25 years ago, settling at Valdasta at that time. She was a consistent member of the Christian church. She is survived by a husband, three sons and three daughters, as follows: Messrs. Brown, Lou and Joe Combest of Valdasta, Mrs. N. D. Wall of Valdasta, Mrs. Feb Hammonds and Mrs. Judd, who reside in Missouri. The interment will be made some time tomorrow in the Hinton cemetery [Coleman Cemetery] about two miles south of Valdasta. We extend condolence to the bereaved ones.
