Funeral services for Joe R. Greene, 82, of McKinney, who died Monday at North Texas Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Murray-Orwosky Chapel in Sulphur Springs with the Rev. A. T. Blankenship officiating. Interment will be Stouts Creek Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 12, 1907 in Mississippi, the son of George W. and Eva Hamilton Greene. He married Goldie Smith June 24, 1928 in Saltillo. He was a retired contractor.
He is survived by his wife of McKinney; a son, Jerry J. Greene of McKinney; a brother, Knox Greene of Dallas; two grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight.
