Funeral services for T. A. (Abbott) Bass, 87, of Grand Saline, formerly of McKinney, who died Sunday in Grand Saline hospital after a lengthy illness, will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bartley Funeral Home Chapel, Grand Saline, with Frank Morgan and Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas.
A retired master plumber, he was born Feb. 17, 1894 in Collin County, the son of the late W. A. (Bill) and Laura Martin Bass. A resident of McKinney most of his life, he was a member of Westside Church of Christ. He had lived in Grand Saline the past four and one half years.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Irene Bass of Grand Saline, three sons, Will M. (Bill) Bass of Grand Saline, James M. Bass of Lookout, Calif., Benjamin Bass of Richardson; two daughters Mrs. Aline (Clifford) Hamilton of Grand Saline, Mrs. Janell (Dale) Goff of Terrell; three brothers, E. E. Bass and Johnie M. Bass of Cedar Creek Lake, Arthur R. Bass of Chandler; five sisters, Mrs. Novella Allen, of Blossom, Mrs. Bettie Day of DeSoto, Mrs. Susie Proctor of McKinney, Mrs. Ann Morris of Dallas, Mrs. Nora Jetton of Grand Prairie, 11 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren.
