MELISSA PEOPLE ATTEND ANNIVERSARY OBSERVANCE.
Joe Nicholson, Miss Estella Nicholson and Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Martin, all of Melissa, were in Jacksboro on Sunday, October 9th, attending the Golden Wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Lair of that city.
Mr. and Mrs. Lair were married in Melissa, she being the former Miss May Nicholson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John H. Nicholson of that community and sister of Joe Nicholson and Miss Estella Nicholson.
Mr. Lair was born at Anna but has resided in West Texas for many years. They are the parents of a daughter and two sons, Mrs. T. H. Berry of Ft. Worth, Harry C. Lair Jr. of Lubbock and Joe Lair of Houston. There are eight grandchildren. Mrs. Lair has several cousins living in Collin County among whom are C. E. Lair of Celina, Mr. E. T. Massey of Prosper, Edd Lair of Plano, Bryan Lair and Mrs. Wilbur Kendall of McKinney, Mrs. Malcolm Martin of Melissa and Oran Lair, W. D. Lair and Everett Slaughter of Anna.
