My great grandfather, Charles C. Carson, was born about 1836 probably Lincoln Co., Kentucky.
The account of his 3rd marriage Nov 29, 1884 to Lizzie Rogers Powell listed him as a resident of Collin County, Texas., He was in Ky at the 1880 census, so went to Texas between 1880 and 1884. His 2nd wife, Mattie Oder Carson died during that time and I wonder if she died in Texas. They had a son Wm. b. 1868 and a dau. Cynthia b. 1870. I’m wondering if they may have remained in Texas possibly with relatives.
My mother said she always thought my grandfather, Clarence Carson was born at Lincoln Co., Ky but later my grandmother said he claimed he was born Oct. 24, 1885 at Red Rock, Tex....
