Funeral service for Benjamin Joseph Johnson, 90, of Anna who died Tuesday at Meadowbrook Nursing Home will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Johns officiating. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery with Flesher Funeral Home of Van Alstyne in charge of the services.
Johnson was born in Arkansas the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sky Johnson, and married Mary Elizabeth McCollum, Nov. 30, 1914 in Blue Ridge.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Anna.
Survivors include one son, Bob Henry Johnson of Dallas; Bonnie Fay Brinlee of Pasadena, Bennie Nell Smallwood of Anna; one brother, Jeff Johnson of Westminster; one sister, Georgia Stauffer, El Cajon, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight and other times at the residence of Bennie Nell Smallwood in Anna.
