Biography.
Mary Quintillia Graves was born 4-11-1843 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
She was a descendant of Captain Thomas Graves who was born about 1580 in England and came to Orange County, Virginia in 1608. The line of descent from Captain Thomas Graves is : John Graves, Isaac Graves, Claiborne Graves, Albert Gallatin, Graves, Mary Quintillia Graves.
The Graves family came from Virginia to Kentucky, then to Missouri and on to Texas in 1856.
Albert Gallatin Graves married Francis J. Harrison, a first cousin of William Henry Harrison, the ninth President of the United States.
Children born to Albert and Francis Graves were: Lucretius Harrison (1840), Aurelius (1841), Mary Quintillia (1843), Eugenia Eveline (1844), Francis Cornelia (1846), James Wycliffe (1848), Lucy Ann (1851), Isaac (1852), William Franklin (1855), Sarah Pamelia (1857), Elizabeth Ellen (1859), and Margaret (1860).
Mrs. Hill passed away December 6, 1926 in the family home in McKinney, Texas, and was buried in the Pecan Grove Cemetery at McKinney, Texas.
