LEWIS GOP CANDIDATE FOR COURT AT LAW SEAT
Attorney Jerry Lewis of McKinney announced Friday that he is a Republican candidate for County Court at Law No. 2.
Lewis is the first assistant district attorney for Collin County and supervises the felony division and presentation of cases to the grand jury.
He worked for the lawfirm, Boyd, Veigel, Gay and McCall for three years, handling all types of legal matters and specializing in contract disputes and consumer law....
Lewis received his law degree from the University of Texas in 1973. He obtained his undergraduate degree in business management from West Texas State University.
For four years, he served with the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U. S. Army, during which time he was senior defense counsel and chief of Military justice.
A member of the Collin County Bar Association and Republican Men’s Club, Lewis has been a resident of Collin County eight years.
He has served as a Boy Scout scoutmaster for four years and is now troop committee chairman.
He also has been very active in soccer throughout Collin County and was honored last year with a proclamation by the McKinney City Council for his outstanding service to youth in the community.
He is a member of First Baptist Church of McKinney. He has one son, David, 14, who is attends McKinney High School.
