J. G. HOWLETT’S FUNERAL RITES HELD MONDAY

James Garnett Howlett of Allen passed away Friday in a Dallas Hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Baptist Church, Rev. Leon Chumbley, pastor, officiating with burial in Restland Cemetery at Richardson directed by Crouch-Moore Funeral Home.
He was born September 5, 1900 in Kentucky, the son of ? and Suda Bell Howlett and was a lumberman by trade. He married Mary Alice Carrell August 8, 1925.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice Howlett of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Gene Thomas, Richardson; Mrs. Mary Anna Bly, Plano; Mrs. Nancy Byler, Whittier, Calif; brother, Frank Howlett of Allen and three sisters, Mrs. Bell Howlett, Mrs. Effie Stu?, Allen; Mrs. Nannie Snider, Dallas and seven grandchildren.
