MRS. DORA ANGELINA PATTERSON BRAGG

Mrs. Dora Angelina Patterson , 66 years of age, passed away at the City Hospital, where she had been a patient for several weeks, at 7:30 p.m. Monday following a illness of several months. Born in DeKalb Co., Tenn., March 3, 1882, the daughter of Elijah and Emma Sue Melton Self, she has resided in Collin County for the past 59 years and in McKinney since 1925.
She married Robert Allen in 1901 and after his death in 1910 was later married to W. O. Bragg, also deceased. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church.
Surviving are four sons, Roy, Robert and Earl Patterson of McKinney and L. D. Patterson of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Russell Thomas of Dallas; five brothers, Felix, Rob, Ed and Clarence Self, all of McKinney and Lawrence Self of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Love of McKinney and Mrs. Harry Lane of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her parents, three brothers and three children preceded her in death.
Rev. Earl Rogers of Sherman, assisted by Rev. S. T. Skaggs of this city conducted the services at 4 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the North Baptist Church. Burial made in Pecan Grove Cemetery with nephews of the deceased acting as pallbearers: Marshall, Luther, Cecil and Edward Lane, and Lewis and R. L. Self. Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
