Emerson - Frisco
The original name for Frisco was Emerson. It was located on the Francis Emerson farm. When the community applied for a post office, the name was declined because there was already a community with the name Emberson. The community took the name of the railroad that came through the it - the St. Louis and San Francisco or Frisco.
