E. A. FOWLER SERVICED HELD TUESDAY

E. A. Fowler, Sr., 71, of 110_ North College Street, died at Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was a retired trucker who had lived in Collin County for 66 years.
Born April 27, 1893 in Tennessee, he was the son of Jacob R. and Nancy J. Keller Fowler. He married Miss Ida Bell Davis, May 2, 1915 in McKinney.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, Davis, Arlon and E. A. Jr. of McKinney; Alvis of Dallas; a brother, Leland Fowler of McKinney; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters, one son who died in infancy, and a grandson.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the North Baptist Church, of which he had been a member for 35 years. Rev. D. A. Grigg of Plano officiated, assisted by the pastor, Rev. Joe Bob Alexander and Rev. Bailey Stone, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment was in Pecan Grove Cemetery, directed by Harris-Horn Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Wilson E. Fowler, Guy Fowler, Grady Bolin, J. B. Brown, Willie Earl Rutledge and Newell Jones.
