Albert Malvern
Students Salute Doty Teacher
Editor's Note: The following letter was submitted by transfer students from Farmersville who attended Doty High School.
Life's evening sun is sinking fast
But we are looking forward to that
new beginning in Christ that will last.
We came to help pay final tribute to this believed man. To us, Mr. Malvern was a person who can say was very instrumental in the development of our lives.
He was our Chemistry and Shop instructor and our Band Director. He was our father when we were on the campus at Doty High. He was very understanding, kind and patient yet very firm. We loved and respected Mr. Malvern because he was that kind of a man. Words cannot adequately express the emptiness we are experiencing in the loss of this great educator, but.. (rest missing)
Malvern Family Greatful [sic]
Dear Editor:
We the family members of Mr. Albert A. Malvern would like to express our deep gratitude for the many florals, prayers, cards, telephone calls, visits, food and any other act of kindness shown to us during the illness and passing of our loved one.
A special thanks to Drs. Charles White, Tom Linstrum and the nurses who attended him.
We are indeed grateful for the special write-up on his service to the McKinney Independent School district and community and to the school staff for your support.
Thanks to the ministers and funeral directors and all of the persons who rendered their services during his final hour.
May God Bless you all.
The Family of Albert A. Malvern
