Funeral services for Mrs. Birdie Lera , 95, of McKinney, who died Friday afternoon, were held this morning at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral chapel with the Revs. J. C. Rich and Paul Wheelus Sr. officiating. Burial was at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
She was born Jan. 29, 1894 in Crandall, Texas, the daughter of Louis and Tina Burke Dillon. She was a member of King Memorial Baptist Church in McKinney.
She is survived by four sons, Bill Barnes and Odell Barnes, both of McKinney, Edward Barnes of Princeton and Sam Barnes of Whitesboro; four sisters, Mrs. Jane Hudson of Karmach, Texas, Mrs. Bethel Crosser of Dallas and Mrs. Tina Olson and Mrs. Sammy Kelley, both of Marshall; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
