‘POSSUM’ BIGGS NAMED "FAN OF THE WEEK"

This week’s "Fan of the Week" selected by the McKinney Quarterback Club is one of the most avid and loyal fans in the history of McKinney athletics. He is Horace G. (Possum) Biggs.
"Possum" has his own plumbing contracting firm. He is a native of Collin County who had resided in McKinney for many years. He and his wife, Lola Mae, live at 1302 North Oak Street.
"Possum" is a Navy Sea Bee veteran of the Pacific in World War II. He and his wife belong to the First Methodist Church. He is also a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. "Possum" attends all the games he can possible get to– including "B" team and junior high contests and is one of the "regular railbirds" or attendants at the practice sessions when he has time. He is also possessed of a good, loud voice that he uses to good advantages in spurring on the Lions in their gridiron efforts.
It will take a lot of yelling to pull the Lions over this week...and "Possum" will be right down there wit the team leading the charge.
