Funeral services for Cecil Butler Edwards, 78, of Princeton who died Saturday at North Texas Medical Center were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in The Princeton Church of Christ with Bro. Doug Bickenbach and Bro. Terry Jackson officiating.
Interment was held in the IOOF Cemetery with Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in charge.
He was born Aug. 12, 1906, the son of Lewis and Lettie Johnson Edwards and married Icle Sharp, Aug. 14, 1972 in Princeton.
Mr. Edwards was a member of The Church of Christ in Princeton.
Survivors include his wife Icle Edwards of Princeton; one son C. B. Edwards Jr. of Princeton; one step-son James W. Burleson of Burleson; two step-daughters Karen Young of Dekalb and Sue Burris of Alvarado; one brother Clifford Edwards of Wylie; one sister Mrs. Winnie Montgomery of Copeville; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Grady Copeland, Jim Litchfield, Rufus Rose, Ralph Mason, Tommy Boorman and Roy L. Walker.
