Funeral services for Hershel McGarrah, 71, of McKinney, who died Saturday morning at Westpark Medical Center, will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Burial will be at the Ridgeview Memorial Park. The Rev. Jolly E. Terry will officiate.
McGarrah was born June n23, 1918 in McKinney, the son of William D. McGarrah and Ida Wilmurth McGarrah. He married Aline Morrison Nov. 18, 1939 in Durant, Okla.
He was retired from the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Jerry McGarrah, one daughter, Patsy Bradley of McKinney; two sisters, Eula Mae Brooks of Greenville and Lorene Myrick of McKinney; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
The family was scheduled to be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
