MRS. IDA BRYANT PASSES AWAY AT PARKVIEW

Mrs. Ida Ward Bryant, 89 of 1610 Nelson Street, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday at Parkview Nursing Home. She had been in ill health for a year.
A native of Raleigh, Mississippi, she was born September 14, 1874, the daughter of James C. and Martha Parkhill Ward. She came to Collin County 45 years ago and had lived in McKinney for 42 years. She was a member of the North Baptist Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Bell, McKinney; Mrs. Anna Vera Oakes, Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. Gladys West, San Antonio; Mrs. Doris Commons, Muleshoe; Mrs. Bernice Moulden, Casper, Wyo.; one son, Col. J. B. (Basil) Bryant of Monmouth, N. J.; brother P,. H. Ward of Arcadia, Calif.; sister Mrs. Lea Dooley, Jackson, Miss., ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her parents and a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Gordon of Pueblo, Colo., preceded her in death.
