GEORGE R. HONEA PASSES AWAY AT RESIDENCE HERE

George Robert Honea, 89, died at his residence, 901 North Kentucky Street Monday. He was born November 31, 1889 in Texas, son of W. R. and Mattie Honea.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Honea of McKinney; daughter, Mrs. Mattie Mae Williams of Hughes Springs; two sons, Owen and Lonnie Honea, two brothers, Emmett and Ed Honea and seven sisters, Mrs. Sara McFarland, Mrs. Mattie Pope, Mrs. Eva Wilson, Mrs. Virgie Funk, Mrs. Mary Slate, all of McKinney; Mrs. Rachel Taylor of Princeton; Mrs. Bessie Harrison, Dallas; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 8 p.m. Wednesday in King Memorial Baptist Church of which he was a member; with burial in Wilson Chapel Cemetery, Crouch-Moore Funeral Home in charge.
