LANDING PLACE FOR ARMY FLIERS
The announcement was made here that a contract had been made with John C. Enloe for a 96-acre field one and a quarter mile east of the McKinney public square on the Greenville road, to be used as a landing place for aviators coming to McKinney from army aviation fields. Mr. Enloe it is stated, made a very reasonable charge for the use of the field for this purpose. Seven fliers landed there Wednesday, three remained over night in McKinney, and there were eight machines on the ground in the field at one time Thursday morning.
