Funeral services for Geneva Fay Cates, 66, of Blue Ridge, who died Monday in North Texas Medical Center will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in Wilson Chapel Cemetery with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in charge.
She was born Sept. 16, 1919 in McKinney, the daughter of Lee Walls and Mae Moore Walls, and married W. G. Cates, Nov. 20, 1937 in Collin County.
She was a housewife and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband W. G. Cates of Blue Ridge; four sons, James Cates of McKinney, Billy, Charles, and Ronnie Cates, all of Blue Ridge; three daughters, Delores Harris and Bessie Thomas, both of Blue Ridge and Mary Tallant of Princeton; one sister, Janet Thompson of Dallas; 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
