FIELD MAN ON THE WING
contd
Arnold.
Mrs. Minnie Rhody was a Cummings before marriage. Eight children are in the home but she finds plenty of time after the house work is over each day to spend a while in reading a good paper. We thank her for a dollar to pay one year's freight on the Democrat-Gazette.
J. W. Cash is a Socialist, having his stinger ready to jab a Democrat or Republican, but who, never-the-less, is level headed and likes a good county paper. For one dollar he renews his subscription to the democrat-Gazette for which we thank him.
A. D. Lambden is an Englishman but a might good citizen. Nine years ago was married to Miss Docia Jeffcoat and they have only one child. We like the English for they are cousins to us, and what is more have good fat purses. We tapped him for a big wheeler and he will get from us the Democrat-Gazette.
The Arnold Post Office opened on December 6, 1899, with John R. Self as postmaster. It was discontinued on November 30, 1901.
