Funeral services for Bessie Lee Drake, 90, of McKinney who died Sunday in a McKinney hospital will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Frank Morgan officiating. Interment will be in Wilson Chapel Cemetery with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in charge of the services.
Drake was born Dec. 16, 1895 in Collin County, the daughter of W. T. and Minnie Lowry Odle.
She was a housewife and a member of the Westside Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters: Kathleen Morrow, Charcie O’Dell, and Mary Helen Tallant all of McKinney; son, Bill Drake of LaMarque; three sisters: Ruby and Gracie McGuffey both of McKinney and Sallie Stewart also of McKinney; eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; as well as a number of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie A. Drake and two daughters.
